WARNING: the following may shock, frighten and alarm you... But I must tell you, it is nothing to be afraid of. See, the thing is, last week, on the 11th and 12th of March, some of the Ursuline College TY students received...... I can't bear to say it.................... DRIVING LESSONS........oh the horror, the pure and utter horror.... and, whats more, they have another day to come!!!! Students.... let loose.... IN CARS!!! What is the world coming to???!!! Ever wonder what it's like to be in one of those schools that has lovely teachers that never give out, never give you homework, never are in bad moods, never threaten you with detention, give you lolly pops and ice-cream, always smile, let you talk to your friends during class and are just absolutely fantastic??? Well, I'm sorry to burst your bubble but... ....WHAT KIND OF A COUNTRY WOULD IT BE IF THEY ALLOWED FOR THOSE KINDS OF SCHOOLS?? Anyways... although the Ursuline isn't like that... no, the teachers don't give us ice-cream... or lollys....(sob...wipe away a tear), it is a generally good school, good students and grades and things that usually make up a good school.... sugar and spice and everything nice, that's what.... sorry, thats what little girls are made of.... moving on. Every year near the end of Transition year the school- aka the TY co-ordinator, organises for a dance teacher to come in to the school and teach the students dances for a show. This year each class performed two dances, did percussion and some performed in a scene from the famous drama and film "Dancing At Lughnasa". To find out how they got on click here  

This year, from the second of April to the sixth, fourty four students (thirty six transition years, six fifth years and two third years), travelled to Italy for their school tour!

Have you ever thought of doing anything out of the ordinary for your Gaisce? Or to raise money for a charity? Well, one student, last year certainly did!!!
