The school introduced the Leaving Cert Applied in 2002  There are 15 students in year 2 of the program and 7 students in year 1 of the program. The program aims to prepare students for adult and working life. Subjects studied will include, English & Communications, Mathematical Applications, Vocational Preparation(preparing for the working life, how to run a business etc.),Computer Studies, Leisure & Recreation, Horticulture and many more besides. They get assessed on their performance in class and on the completion of projects. They accumulate credits all the time and they go towards their final mark. They also have an exam at the end of the two years.
