The Presidents Award (Gaisce) was launched in international youth year 1985. Over the years St. Louis Secondary School has actively participated in this program during transition year. There are four different areas of activities in the award programme and you must do something in each section. The following are the four sections:

Personal Skill
Physical Recreation
An Adventure
There are three levels of award- Bronze, Silver and Gold-and you spend one hour a week for the lenghts of time set out below for the sections of the award except for the adventure weekend.
